The project
A global full-service provider of modern train systems decided to develop a new, flexible software platform to serve as the foundation for all functions required for the operation of rail vehicles. Examples of subsystems within this software platform include propulsion and braking, diagnostics, passenger information systems, video surveillance, and train-to-ground communication with cloud connectivity.
The develop group has been providing continuous support to the provider for over 15 years in the design, development, subsequent testing, and deployment of the software platform across multiple large-scale projects, some of which are carried out in parallel.
Our responsibilities
- Collaboration on the development of requirements specifications and system architecture
- Overall responsibility for the implementation of subsystems and components of the software platform, including central diagnostics, train-to-ground communication, CCTV analysis, and software deployment
- Operation of a test laboratory for conducting load and performance tests (with more than 100 hardware components from all relevant IT systems)
