An OPC UA modeling editor for flexible machine networking

The project
A global provider of industrial automation solutions sells control systems and a software platform for connecting industrial controllers. Connecting devices and machines to its own systems in a vendor-neutral manner requires custom communication and data exchange interfaces.
To flexibly integrate its products with vendor-independent controllers and machines, the client required a highly flexible editor for modeling interfaces and communication models based on the OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA). OPC UA is a generic information model and standard for vendor- and platform-independent data exchange between sensors, machines, and software systems from various manufacturers.
The develop group was commissioned to develop a software tool for the flexible modeling of OPC UA models under its own project management.
Our responsibilities
- Overall project responsibility for the design and development of all necessary software functions
- Continuous expansion of the OPC UA Modeling Editor to support new OPC UA standards
- Software maintenance and support
