The project
AUTOSAR is a global consortium dedicated to standardizing the infrastructure for in-vehicle software. In addition to major automakers such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, General Motors, and Stellantis, the consortium includes major suppliers such as Bosch, Continental, and ZF, as well as approximately 350 other companies from the international automotive industry.
The AUTOSAR standard is established worldwide and is currently available in two different versions: the Classic Platform and the Adaptive Platform. The Adaptive Platform is intended for use in high-performance control units for vehicle control and vehicle networking.
The develop group was commissioned to model and uniformly document the architecture for the AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform, which had previously been described only implicitly and informally. Where necessary, the architecture was to be optimized, expanded, and adapted to meet new requirements.
Our responsibilities
- Development of an explicit software architecture based on existing informal documentation artifacts
- Modeling, optimization, and documentation of the software architecture
- Continuous expansion and adaptation of the architecture
